Tidow is designed around a simple idea: your Downloads folder should be organized on your Mac, not uploaded somewhere else.

1. Tidow for macOS
Tidow organizes and cleans files locally on your Mac. File scanning, rule matching, cleanup checks, renaming, moving files, and activity history are designed to happen on-device.
Tidow does not upload your Downloads folder, file contents, filenames, folder paths, or rule data to a Tidow server for processing.
2. Apple Intelligence and content recognition
Some Tidow features can use Apple Intelligence or other on-device Apple frameworks to recognize document contents, images, or text. Where supported, these features run on your Mac and are used to help match rules such as invoices, letters, screenshots, or other document types.
Availability depends on your macOS version, device, language, and Apple Intelligence support.
3. Website analytics
The Tidow website can use Firebase Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the website performs. Analytics is only initialized after you accept analytics cookies in the consent banner.
When accepted, Firebase Analytics may process technical and usage information such as page views, page URLs, approximate region, device and browser information, session data, and interaction events. This helps improve the website and product communication.
Website analytics does not collect your local files, Downloads folder contents, Tidow app rules, or Mac app activity.
4. Cookie consent
We store your cookie choice in your browser's local storage under a Tidow consent key. If you decline, Firebase Analytics is not started by this website.
You can reopen the consent banner anytime with the button below.
5. Trial and purchase
Tidow offers a 7-day trial and a one-time purchase. Purchases, payment processing, refunds, family sharing availability, and purchase restoration are handled by Apple through the Mac App Store.
Apple may process information required for App Store purchases according to Apple's own privacy practices.
6. Folder permissions
Tidow asks for access to folders it should organize or clean. macOS controls these permissions. You can remove or reset folder access in the app settings or through macOS privacy controls.
